North East Tasmania
Tasmania’s NE region comprises rolling Midland plains flanking Launceston and the state’s n-e coast. The Midlands are full of elegant old mansions, historic buildings, small wineries, gourmet food producers and stunning scenery. The east coast offers relaxed holiday towns and villages, a hinterland of waterfalls, forests and gorges and many sporting and recreational activities. The area is also home to a number of stunning national parks amongst them, Mount William, Ben Lomond and Douglas-Apsley. Major towns in the region include George Town, Bridport, Scottsdale, St Helens and Campbell Town.
